Inverted pyramid
This writing tool, borrowed from journalism, is often overlooked. The inverted pyramid story structure should be the default for communicators.
It’s rare for people to read an entire article or story, so we need to get to the point fast. Figure out what the most important information is and get it into the first paragraph. Build context and explain the “so what” in the middle, using a bulleted list of key points to help break down complex content.
Keep it tight and, whatever you do, don’t bury the lede!
